Here’s how to manage a list when you have a temporary menu item that will be available only for certain dates at all locations.
- Navigate to Admin > Lists, and then select "Manage Items" from the list you wish to edit.
- To add a new item, click on the "+ Add Data Row" button, and enter the necessary information into the fields.
- Save the changes, and the system will store the new information as a draft.
- Click on the "Publish" button and choose whether to publish the changes immediately or schedule them for a later date and time.
- For instance, if you want the new menu item to start displaying on screens on April 15th, select April 15 at 5 am UTC to update screens before store hours. The time displayed at the bottom will show the corresponding local time for you. In this example, 5 am UTC would be 10 pm on April 14th.
- This timing ensures updates occur when there are no customers, and it is convenient for stores across different time zones.
- Click "Publish" and close the window dialog to finalize the scheduling. You're all set to go.
Note: You can follow the same process if you want to remove an item from the menu list by marking it as inactive.
Follow these steps in case you need to introduce a new menu item that won’t be available at all your locations:
- Add the new item and “Save” the changes as a draft. This allows you to make further edits before finalizing.
- Go to “Batch changes”. To manage the availability across multiple locations.
- Select or use the search box to find the locations that will not offer the new item. If you have a list, you can copy and paste the location numbers into the search box and hit “Search” or press “Enter”. The system will then display only the relevant locations.
- With the locations that won’t offer the item selected, find the new menu item in the list (right side) and select “No” under the “Active” column to exclude it from that location. Click “Save Changes”
- Go back to the “Manage Items” view. Here you can finish scheduling and publish the list now or on a future date.
