Your Organization should have Programmatic Ads permissions activated in the account management settings. Navigate to Admin > Account Management and confirm that "Allow Advertising" is active.

 

Configure Programmatic Platforms:

  1. Go to Account Management > Programmatic Ads.
  2. Click on the "Add" button to configure a programmatic platform.
  3. Choose from the dropdown list the desired platform(s): Vistar and/or Place Exchange (PX).
  4. Enter the required information from your Vistar or Place Exchange account, such as platform credentials, API Key, and Organization Code.

Setup on Device Level:

  1. After setting up the programmatic plarform(s) needed, go to the Devices page.
  2. Select or create a player and click "Edit."
  3. Navigate to the Programmatic Ads tab at the top.
  4. Adjust the frequency of advertising calls, this setting controls how often the player will request ads. Options range from every 5 seconds to every 2 hours (7200 seconds).

 

Understanding Platform Interaction:

  • If two programmatic platforms are configured (PX and Vistar), WovenManager will prioritize calling one platform for ad requests first.
  • If the selected platform responds with an ad, it will play.
  • If the first platform does not have an ad available, the system will ping the other platform and repeat the process.
  • If none of the platforms have an ad available, the system will continue to play the scheduled content.
  • Ads are seamlessly integrated: they do not interrupt the current video but wait until it ends before playing the ad. If the current video playing has more than a minute remaining, a transition to the ad will occur so it starts playing as soon as possible.
  • The system gets the ad in real-time (via URL with video or image), plays it, and then provides proof-of-play (PoP) to the programmatic platform.

Temporary Disable Feature: Use the temporary disable button to pause ad display without removing the record from the ad platform.

 

Note:

  • In case of an internet connection loss, the player will not call for ads. Instead, it will play content programmed and scheduled directly from the system.Top of Form
